Album cover and songbook design for the institute promoting Mahatma Gandhi's philosophy.

Sabarmati Ke Sur is a collection of Gandhiji's favourite hymns compiled by Gandhi Smarak Nidhi in Mumbai. Run by Usha Gokani, the granddaughter of Mahatma Gandhi, Gandhi Smarak Nidhi preserves and protects the memory of the Mahatma.

We were commissioned to design the album cover and a songbook for the collection. The design elements included historic photographs, his handwritten notes, and quotations.

Mahatma Gandhi launched the Dandi March at Sabarmati in 1930. We designed a timeline of India's freedom movement that runs along the bottom of the songbook, from the establishment of the Sabarmati Ashram in 1917 until Gandhiji's death in 1948.
