Designing la dolce vita.

In Italian, Bottega means “workshop” and “Italica” denotes “an Italian living outside Italy.” Founder and pâtissiere Mirella Fiore is an Italian abroad with roots in Padua and Sicily. In 2021 she launched Bottega Italica to serve divine Italian pastries and cakes for the people of Bombay.

We worked collaboratively with Mirella to craft the brand identity. The logo combined the formality of the classic Roman arch with the softness of summer roses to signify the brand’s upscale but very satisfying sweet treats. (We tried a lot of ’em–for research purposes.) Choosing a colour palette of pale pink with a gold foil and glass jars to showcase the high quality, luxury aspect of the desserts, we designed the cake box, labels, cake cards and the digital menu.
